Movie Review "Cat in the Hat"Week 5 Oral based

Cat in the Hat

This story, which is well known among children since 1957, was made to life by Hollywood. This is about two children brother Conrad (Spencer Breslin) and a sister Sally (Dakota Fanning) who feel boring and want to do something but their interests are different. One cold wet day, they are visited by a catlike person (Mike Myers) who offers them some fun. The house is turned into a big mess during fun and that makes the children worried, as their mother, Joan (Kelly Preston) who works in a local real estate office will be back home to arrange a party. Quinn (Alec Baldwin), a neighbour, whom Joan is dating, wants to send Conrad to military school. On that particular day in question, Joan leaves instructions not to mess up the house since she's having an important party that night .Suddenly the huge Cat arrived which appeared to the children as scary. After meeting Sally and Conrad they all agreed to have all the fun but cat assured them that nothing bad will happen. They ignored the advice from the Golden Fish (voiced by Hayes), who was their pet. Cat and children made lots of mess and afterwards set the house in order before mother arrived.

I have chosen issue of Pakistan Cricket Team Coach Bob Woolmer published in the Sunday Times London on June 03,2007 Article of the death of Bob Woolmer He was found dead in his hotel room on March 18, the day after Pakistan lost to Jamaica in the World Cup match. This death shocked the cricket world and reports of murder were in the press all over the world. The doubt was also on the Pakistani team and they were being treated as involved in this death. Now the report of a pathologist was not murder has declared the death of Bob Whoolmer was a natural death. I agree with this article and I think this is a propaganda of the press which is appear to hate a Pakistani team and that is not fair .we should protest this issue

Differences in manners between NZ & own country Entry Five

The word manner has been defined as 'Behavior or social conduct' in the Merriam Webster dictionary. This behavior can be observed as good or bad depending upon the general public in which we live. New Zealand is a multiculture society, and people living here are from 184 different nationalities. The dominant population is of U.K. origin, whereas others are local Maori, Chinese, Indian and others. So the culturerel came from the U.K still prevails in NZ society. No doubt this culture has politeness and courteousness and patience. In addition this has the feature of helping people to an extent one can go. The good manner of greeting people and gave them a smile irrespective of any formal introduction. When visiting someone then to make an advance appointment and take some gift as a token of love and respect is also common. But then I see my country of birth and surely I feel huge difference and a low level of politeness and courteousness. This was not the case 30 years ago but due to increase in poverty and absence of education, the bad manners are evident everywhere. In case of NZ also this has been noted that public rudeness and misbehaviors are increasing. The reason is being explained as the increasing welfare by a state.

Globalisation Blog Post Entry Two taxt based skill week 4

It is certainly true that technology has changed very rapidly over the last few decades.
Globalisation has many effects on human lives and computers are one of the greatest
inventions, which are very helpful in many ways. In my country computers are very important everywhere. Such as offices, shops, banks, colleges and universities. I think the computer has made a big change in human lives. People can save time and money because of E mail, Internet shopping and Internet banking. Another area is food which has now become fast food. For example KFC, Macdonals which are now very popular all over world. Everyone knows about those fast food companies, especially children. The problem of increasing obesity is usually linked to the addiction of fast food. So globalisation on the one hand has given us the technology, then on the other hand the issue of increasing obesity due to such rapid growth of fast food chain stores. What do you think?

Comparison of two pictures Week7 oral skill

The two pictures showing two different life style. The First picture shows a rural area that is looking narrow street..Usually retired people like to live in the rural area . Because of healthy environment, avaliability of fresh food . In addition life is very quite in rural area and knowing eople each other. There are cost of living is also low.The second picture an urban area shows very tall building, many premises and a very busy life. However, there are more opportunities of employment. Especially educations are high standard like university level more facility and life style is good in city.

I have been living in city and used to live city so I like it . I think all urban and rural areas are similar. There are many similarities in the cities. Such as a city have many building, towers and university. However in Pakistan there are heaps and heaps of flats but some people live in big or huge houses. But the populations of Pakistan are 12 millions to 14 millions and than New Zealand there are only 4 millions .And it is congested and the traffic is too much sometimes you have to wait1- 2 hours for the traffic to settle but in New Zealand there is less traffic that why I prefer to live in NEW ZEALAND
